Matilde Muocha, Institute of Arts and Culture of Mozambique, spoke about the development of educational materials for schools

Professor Nomalanga Mkhize, Nelson Mandela University, addressed the issue of the 'Missing Idiom of African Historiography'

Professor Simphiwe Sesanti, UNISA, argued for teaching Egypt as part of a decolonised and Afrocentric education

Dr Nomathamsanqa Tisani introduced the decolonial concept of 'uKuhlambulula' ('cleansing') that is required in historiography

Professor Carolyn Hamilton, Archive and Public Culture, UCT, engaged the delegates on 'Enfolded Time and the Challenges of the Archive'

Dr Denver Webb, Nelson Mandela University, highlighted problems of using heritage sites to tell stories of the Eastern Cape
